Power Transformers

WESCOSA manufacture 2-winding and 3-winding Power Transformers from 500kVA to 25MVA with voltage rating upto 72.5kV. WESCOSA provides different designs to meet both IEC and ANSI standards as well as the customer specifications.

The transformers can be provided with off circuit tap changers or with on load tap changers with required number of tapping.

All exposed live parts are enclosed in cable boxes or compartments when required. Designs for close coupled Cable Bus/busduct are also available.

The Hermetically sealed type or conservator type preservations systems are available with various options for protections and monitoring devices covering oil & winding temperatures, oil levels and pressures. The other specifical requirements for online monitoring and Dissolved Gas analysis can also be provided when required.

The transformers with special high fire points liquids like silicone oil, FR3 or ester fluids etc can be provided upon request.  

Distribution Transformers

Distribution Transformers

WESCOSA manufacture 2-winding Distribution Transformers from 15kVA to 5MVA with High voltage rating up to 36kV. WESCOSA provides different designs to meet both IEC and ANSI standards as well as customer specifications.

Fittings and accessories and provided as per standard and as per customer requirements.

• Pole Mounted Transformers

WESCOSA provides Three phase overhead pole-mounted, distribution transformers with high voltage of 34.5kV and below and ratings 500 kVA and smaller. Single Phase transformers when requested can be provided.

Generally, the high voltage bushings are on the top cover and low voltage bushing on the side however other customized designs are available as per customer requirements.

• Pad Mounted Transformers

WESCOSA provides three phase pad mounted / ground mounted, distribution transformers with high voltage 34.5kV and below and ratings up to 5 MVA and smaller.

The various options for high voltage and low voltage open bushings, bushings within cable boxes, or terminations suitable for cable bus/bus duct connections are available as per specification and customer requirements.

• Compartmental type transformers

WESCOSA provided Pad-mounted compartmental type distribution transformers as per ANSI/IEEE Standard rated 45kVA upto 2500kVA with high voltage ratings upto 34.5kV, specifically designed for servicing underground distribution loads for residential areas, shopping centers, schools, and industrial plants. It is available in both live front and dead front construction, for radial and loop feed applications with or without fusing and switching.

Package and Unit Substation

WESCOSA package/Unit Substations are available with a wide range of ratings up to 3500 KVA with a maximum system voltage of 36 KV. The Substation is assembled as an integrated unit from sheet steel, built on a heavy channel steel foundation frame to withstand the weight of its components

The Package Substation consists of three compartments:

• Medium Voltage Compartment
• Transformer Compartment
• Low Voltage Compartment

Dry Typed Transformer

LV-LV Dry Type Transformers

WESCOSA manufactures 2-winding LV-LV Dry Type Transformers as per NEMA & ANSI Standards with ratings of 15kVA to 500kVA using vacuum pressure-impregnated coils. The typical voltage ratings are 480V-480Y/227V, 480V-220Y/227V, 480V-208Y/120V & 380V-220Y/127V. Other special designs may be considered on special request.

The transformers are provided with suitable enclosures for both Indoor and outdoor use.

MV Dry Type Transformers

WESCOSA MV Dry type transformers range from 50kVA to 5000kVA and voltages up to 36kV. The transformers are manufactured as per IEC 60076-11 however NEMA and IEEE Standard can be followed as per request.

The transformers are provided with class F insulation with cast resin HV winding and Vacuum pressure impregnated LV winding. The insulation class H can also be provided when required.

The Dry type transformers are suitable for indoor installation and provided with or without enclosures. It is normally used for hospitals, school buildings, shopping malls, industrial plants, etc having safety concerns due to fire hazards.

Multi-tap / Rectifier Transformers

Solar Transformers are used in Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) systems. These systems require specialized transformers to convert power supply voltage to the voltages suitable to the pump motor used in the system. WESCOSA Multi-tap transformers provide a wider range of tabs than general-purpose distribution transformers. The Purpose of this wide range is to accommodate motor’s changes as the voltage requirements vary for each size of ESP motor.

WESCOSA Multi-tap transformers are pad-mounted type with enclosed bushings and sealed tanks.
